Walter is loved by all the volunteers! So it is heartbreaking that he will be put to sleep on Sept 1 at the Martinez shelter.
Walter is listed as 4 years old. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Shelter volunteers have made the following notes about him:
Walter is the best dog ever! He is loving and affectionate, friendly to all the people he meets. Bonds quickly. Walter is easy going and walks well on leash. Loves to play. Knows sit. He has won the hearts of everybody!
Note: Walter has been friendly with other dogs but due to the stress of the shelter, it is recommended he be an only dog, at least until he has had a chance to decompress.

Walter is one of several dogs that will be euthanized on Sept 1 because they have not adapted to living in a kennel at the shelter and are exhibiting high levels of stress.
