Meet the Pet
This helps RescuedOhio with pet care costs.
Meet Callie, a one-year-old shepherd mix who is eager to find her family. She is a perfect 42 pounds, house-trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night. Callie is a lover of her people and will be a protective and happy addition to your household. She loves chew toys (with and without squeakers), tug toys and balls. She also loves training and working for treats, and she is very smart. She is content to relax on the couch with her people after chasing all of the wildlife out of her back yard. She gets along with dogs but is dog selective so slow introductions would be best. Because Callie is young and still learning her strengths and good manners, a home with no young children is best; however, she would love the energy of older kids. Since she loves to chase squirrels, she'd do best with a fenced yard.
Likes: Slow leash walks, gentle games of tug & fetch, snuggling, training, chewing on benebones, lickmats, kongs, puzzles
Dislikes: Cats, squirrels
Callie's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Callie, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.
