Meet Cypher the 8 month old Belgian Malinois!
This boy was given away to our rescue's trainer and is looking for a forever home. Because he has been at a training facility for so long, he has not been given a chance to learn some at-home type things like potty training and needs someone who is willing to work with him on simple things like that. He also does not have any experience with kids, but given his size/age/breed, he could be a bit of a bulldozer so he cannot be in a home with small children.

Cypher is extremely friendly with people and other dogs. He just takes a moment to warm up to strangers but is very sweet. He knows a bunch of obedience commands and requires an owner with an understanding/experience of his breed and is willing to continue training with him!
He is all about giving tons of kisses and snuggles.

Belgian Malinois are one of the most dedicated working dog breeds and need a full-time job even in a home setting. They are most popular among military/police k9/dog trainer dogs because they need a lifelong role in training, constant mental and physical stimulation, and an owner who is interested and experienced in training or dog sports! This breed is not suitable for first time dog owners and does not thrive alone in a yard or home all day- it can cause this super intelligent breed to become destructive in their boredom.
