My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This striking guy is Mando. He is an approximately 1.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix. His current family has made the difficult choice to surrender him in order to allow him to blossom in a new, more appropriate home. As Mando has grown up, he’s started to become more fearful of the world, especially loud noises and fast movements. Since he is currently living in an active home with young children, he is having a hard time feeling comfortable. Mando would prefer a quieter home with older children (12+) where he can lounge around on the couches, enjoying the occasional belly rub or antler.
Although he loves to hang around the house, he is a medium-energy dog. He enjoys being outside and being taken for hikes around the local trails. Toys of any variety also will occupy although he will quickly destroy a squeaky toy. Tug and fetch top the list though! He absolutely loves other dogs and currently attends a local dog daycare where he is a fan favorite. Mando would actually do best in a home where he has another balanced dog to help him navigate through some of his insecurities. Mando is also crate and house trained. The best home for Mando would be where people understand his sensitivities and can help show him that the world is not scary and give him fun through continued confidence training and play.
Mando is neutered and up to date.
