My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Magnolia (affectionately known as Mags, Maggie, or Bunny) she is an adorable, playful 10 month old (her birthday is approximately 9/18/22) puppy. Mags didn’t have the greatest start in life, as she and her siblings were in a hoarding situation with very little human socialization. This does make her a little shy, and avoidant of humans, until she feels safe. She is HIGHLY social with other dogs, and will need to have at least one or more confident, and playful dogs in her forever home, to show her the ropes, and she can see the human/s are trustworthy by watching their interactions.

She is very much a puppy! She will chew up toys, rearrange furniture, and wrestle with her foster siblings for hours on end, and she is also very snuggly with them at bedtime. She is currently learning SIT, DOWN, WATCH ME, and we’re working on Stay (lasts about 2 seconds, haha). She will approach me (her foster mom) when I’m sitting on the couch, or laying on the bed, but will still dart away if I attempt to reach for her, or pick her up. She is available to the right adopter, who will be someone that understands she will need time, patience, and understanding. If they are willing and able to provide her formal training, I do believe she would benefit greatly from it, as she has responded very well to our informal training sessions. I will be working on getting her harness on her, and walking on a leash (in my back yard) to see how she does with that. If her adopter is in Tucson, I will sponsor a 6 week Beginners class at The Complete Canine for her, to ensure she is successful!
