My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Monty
Age: 2 years
Preferences: can live with savvy older teens (meet required), can be very selective with dog friends (dog meet required), can't live with cats
Hobbies: going on doggie day outs, hanging by the river, and exploring the great outdoors
Nicknames: BergaMONT, Monkey, and "Tall, Dark and Handsome"
Reason for being at the shelter: Came in as unclaimed stray in July of 2023... Can you believe he has spent more than half his life in a shelter?

Meet Monty, an adventurous and handsome youngster looking for his forever home after being overlooked for over a year in our shelter. With his tall, dark, and handsome good looks, this charming canine has a heart full of energy and a spirit that thrives on exploration. Monty loves nothing more than hitting the trails for a fun hike, feeling the wind in his fur all while making new human friends along the way. He's a king of car rides and lives for his exciting doggie day outs (especially with his friend, our amazing volunteer Pam), - so if you're up for some outdoor adventures, he's your perfect match! While Monty can be a bit stubborn at times, he's ready for a strong, experienced owner who can help him shine and be the best dog he can be. Please consider opening your heart and home to this deserving 2 year old! He's sure to fill your days with joy, excitement, and tons of snuggles!
