HISTORY:
Maeve came to us from Louisiana. A resident thought she was feral so they trapped her to spay and return. After she was spayed it turned out she was not feral and she kept acting as if she wanted to come inside so the residents befriended her and decided her best life would be inside as a family pet.
ABOUT:
If you're looking for a quiet, well-mannered cat who is super low maintenance, Maeve is the girl you're after! Though she comes off as a bit shy, she's really just a relaxed, easy-going cat who is more interested in chilling on her cat tower than being a social butterfly. Maeve enjoys gentle pets and relishes in chin scratches. She might even roll over to show you her belly when she's really digging the attention. Every once and a while, she can be encouraged to play with a wand toy, but for the most part, she isn't very active.
We think Maeve would appreciate a home that matches her vibe, so one that is calm and low energy without a lot of noise or commotion would suit her best. She currently resides with other cats with similar personalities and gets along with them just fine. She's a pretty independent girl, so is not likely going to be a buddy or companion for another feline, but she will coexist peacefully if they respect her space.
Maeve would be great for a first-time adopter or those with work long hours because she's perfectly content spending her day lazily looking out the window and will be happy to receive some pets when the opportunity allows. She's not mischievous or troublesome, though she does like to be in high up places so she will love to have a cat tree or two of her own.
