Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gem is a 2yr Shepherd/Husky. This pretty girl came to us from a shelter in Ohio, where she was brought in as a stray. Gem does take a while to warm up to new people, and she is very stand-offish when first meeting someone (which tends to be a shepherd thing). Once she warms up, she is the sweetest and most outgoing girl! Because of her stranger danger, she will need someone who will work with her at her own pace and someone who will respect her boundaries. With time and treats, she becomes everyone's best friend.
Gem is an energetic girl, and she is always down to do whatever! We are also a dog daycare, so she has been exposed to friends of all shapes and sizes. She loves other dogs and is always down to play! She does NOT do well with sharing bones and chew type treats however, which is something to keep in mind if there is another dog in the home. Other than her bone possessiveness, she is completely nonaggressive to both human and dogs. She has not been exposed to cats or children.
Gem is house trained, crate trained and up to date on vaccines.
