Hi, I'm Sylvie! I was dumped outside, fending for myself, covered in 90+ ticks, eating bird food to survive. I sat outside a house I found, crying to come inside- luckily, it was Foster Mommy's house! My name is meaningful to my journey, it's French for "forest." I'm doing fantastic as an inside kitty! I LOVE snuggling in my kitty bed, making biscuits on my blankie, bird watching, chasing toys you throw me, and especially spending time grooming and wrestling my foster siblings. My ideal family will understand that I'm very shy with new humans because of my past experience, but with patience and treats, I'll eventually show you my belly! I need a home with another cat- one of my foster siblings is an option. I'm a really good girl that's litter trained, I use scratching posts, chirp and talk to you, and nuzzles your legs. One of my favorite activities: Foster Mommy throws my bedtime snacks across the room, and I sprint and pounce and enjoy my crunchies and time with my human friend; I'll nuzzle to ask for more. Wait until you feel how unbelievably silky, soft my fur is!
Do you have room for me on your fuzzy blanket?

The first step is to complete an Application. Start at the Adoption page on our website - https://www.straycatblues.org/adoption-process
2.
Approve Application
You will be assigned an Adoption Representative who will review your application and check your vet and personal references.
3.
Meet the Pet
Once approved, we will set up a meet and greet for you with the cat(s) you are interested in.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Your Adoption Representative will go over paperwork with you. You will sign and then pay the Adoption Fee.
5.
Take the Pet Home
This is the best part! Take your new cat home!
Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
