My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other

Rubble is a 6 mos old (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 35 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments. Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.
