My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gino, a heartwarming addition from California OC Animal Care. Gino's heart is a little larger than most due to heart disease, but that only means he has an extra capacity for love to shower on his new family. Despite his condition, he's thriving with the help of his daily medications. Gino absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the world. This pint-sized charmer adores the company of dogs his size and gladly play with them as long as you let him. Yet, he's not just about canine companionship; Gino finds joy in snuggling with his human friends too, especially those over the age of 12. If you’re looking for the perfect little scruffy companion to join your family, look no further than Gino.
Gino is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped!

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
