Please meet Dave, a 9-month-old Husky/Malamute that recently moved from NC to OH with his dog-dad. Due to life changes, Dave is in need of a new forever home. He gets along with other dogs, but due to his age, he gets a little rambunctious. He has not been able to meet a cat yet, so we are unaware of his reaction to them. Dave hasn't been around young children either, so we are unable to say how he behaves with little ones.

Dave is a happy dog that needs more attention than he is now able to receive in his current living situation. With patient introductions, he would happily befriend other dogs. He currently lives with 2 senior dogs. He could use some training, since he is just a puppy. But the current owner works with Dave on a regular basis and has learned..."down", "go to bed", and is working on leash training. He is potty trained.

He does meet the characteristics of a Husky in being smart and stubborn. He needs to be able to release energy. Since Husky's are known to be "masters of escape" he is currently living in a fenced in yard, which would be preferred. A husky-experienced adopter is recommended.

Dave is crate trained ever since his dog-dad adopted him. He is scheduled for neuter on 8/24/23 and he is current on his vaccinations.
