My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Hunter, a blue nose pit/ lab mix about to be 3 y/o on August 20th! He loves dentley’s bones and going on trips! He isn’t friendly with other male dogs but is friendly with other female dogs! He would be great in just a 2 dog household and even better if it is just him!

We are unsure how he is with toddlers but older children he should be fine with. He doesn’t like his ears touched too much and he doesn’t like being picked up… but loves cuddles, belly rubs and walks! He is also e-collar trained but still follows basic commands without the e-collar!

If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Hunter is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
