Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tutu is looking for a long term foster!
Our four year old Tutu is a funny kitty, she always has that adorable bright-eyed look on her face as if somebody just gave her the most amazing surprise - Hopefully, we really can surprise her with a foster family of her very own soon enough, and then her eyes will sparkle more than ever!
With her affectionate and intelligent personality, Tutu is a breeze to get along with. She likes to observe whatever you're doing (Right now since she's near our shelter's kitchen, she's learning how to wash dishes and plate up food for all of her kitty friends), and she's very fond of spending time with her humans. Even if you're not actively paying attention to her, Tutu is usually close by and ready to lend her soft little head for pets whenever you need her company. She has an amazing ability to cheer up everyone around her, and enjoys having her plush fur groomed!
The reason that Tutu is looking for a forever foster at her very young age rather than an adoptive family is because she is special needs - Tutu has a condition which causes fluid to gather in her chest, and while there is sadly no cure for Tutu's condition, we can help treat and manage it's symptoms while ensuring that Tutu has the chance to to be loved and adored in a home for as long as possible. She deserves the opportunity to sleep in a bed, lay in the sun by your feet, and be a cherished family cat again, no matter what.
Tutu is on medication twice a day that she receives by mouth, as well as she is on a specialty diet. Both of these are aimed at reducing the amount of fluid that can accumulate in her chest, and so far this supportive care seems to be working well. She LOVES to eat her kibble as well as her wet food snack for breakfast and dinner, and she's incredibly well behaved for her medicine too. Tutu knows her routine very well, and would have no problem helping teach you all about it!
If you have space in your home and love to give in your heart, please consider fostering Tutu. You would be giving her the most incredible gift: A home, her very own family, and the kind of attention and TLC that makes all of the difference to a special needs kitty.
