Rip is an Old English Bulldogge. His story is a sad one. He was surrendered by his owner who had taken him to his vet be euthanized. His owner was concerned that Rip was becoming aggressive when he was disciplined. Rip had been a patient at his veterinary hospital since he was a puppy. The team at the hospital had never witnessed Rip show any kind of aggression during his routine visits. The doctor asked the owner if they would be willing to surrender Rip to the care of a rescue group. The owners agreed. Rip has now been in a foster home with multiple dogs ranging in size from 5 to 60 pounds. Rip has not shown any signs of aggression with the other dogs or with the 3 cats that also live in the home. His current foster family has said that Rip is an absolute dream dog. He has become very attached to his foster mom and follows her everywhere. Even to the bathroom! According to his foster family Rip has a very sweet and gentle soul. Rip has gone through a one on one class with a trainer and did very well. He will continue with his classes until he finds a permanent home. If his new family is interested in continuing classes they will be offered at a discounted price.
