Meet Indy, the sweet and spirited 2-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix who's been patiently waiting for her forever home for the past 9 months. This gorgeous girl has been flourishing in the loving environment of a foster home, but she's ready to find her permanent place in the world.
Indy is a bit of a special girl, and she's looking for a home where she can be the center of attention as the only pet. While she's enjoyed short playdates with other dogs, her true love lies with her humans and her possessions, and she's not quite open to share them. But don't let that deter you - she has an abundance of love to give to her future family! Given her reserved nature, she's better suited for homes without small children.
With her housetraining and crate training already mastered, Indy is eager to continue learning and growing with her new family. She's a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement and is always up for a new challenge. And while she may be a bit apprehensive about car rides right now, with patient and understanding companions by her side, she's sure to overcome her fears and discover the joys of travel.

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.
We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
