My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gordy!
Age: 5 | Gender: Male (Neutered)

Gordy is a sweet and playful 5-year-old boy who is looking for a home where he can be the center of attention. He’s a bit of a bed hog, but if you don’t mind sharing your space, he’ll make an excellent cuddle buddy. Gordy is also known to be a sneaky dinner guest, always on the lookout for a taste of your meal, so be prepared to keep your plate close!

Gordy is best suited as the only dog in the home, and he is too much for small children. He enjoys his walks but can be a puller on the leash; however, with a little guidance, he responds well to verbal direction and will stop and wait when asked. Gordy knows some basic commands like sit, stay, come, and shake, and he’s even learned how to give a high five!

While Gordy isn’t extremely treat-motivated, he’s gentle when taking them and has done well with other dogs he’s familiar with. He could potentially live with cats after a proper introduction, and he has been unfazed by the hustle and bustle around him, whether it’s during walks at the park or on outings to new places. Gordy is easy to leash, enjoys car rides, and rides wonderfully during trips, including to lunch dates where he waits patiently and quietly for his turn to eat.

Foster Home Experience:Gordy currently lives in a foster home with multiple cats, which he ignores. He also has occasional visits from another dog without any issues. Gordy is a great housemate and does well in his foster environment.

Playgroup Behavior:Gordy is gentle and dainty in playgroups, showing selectivity with other dogs. While he engages in some play, he has assertive tendencies and can be a little hard for handlers to steer, though he is generally responsive to guidance.

Gordy would thrive in a home where he can be the only dog and get all the attention he craves.bIf you`re looking for a loyal companion who loves his walks, car rides, and spending time with his people, Gordy might be the perfect fit for you!
