My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Coco. I’m an indeterminate mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua. I was found on the streets and landed in the shelter until Me and My Shadow took me in. I have been in my foster home for almost a week. Initially I was VERY shy and darted out the doggie door every time someone looked at me. Now I am learning that my foster family is very nice, and I don’t run outside. I even let foster Mama come close and pet me. I’m still warming up to foster Papa although I am happy to take chicken bits from him.

I do all my business outside and enjoy sunbathing and exploring the yard. An ultra-secure yard is a must and a doggie door would be nice.

I love all the doggie cushions and beds in my foster home. My favorite is a cat bed. At night I sleep quietly in my soft bed in my crate. A tiny treat at bedtime encourages me to hop into my bed. I am learning to enjoy being petted and groomed.

I would love a quiet home with patient adults and a doggie sibling that I can learn from.
