Archie AKA Archibald is a Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix, around 8 years old and 75 lbs. Archie had lived with his owner for his whole life, until they passed away and he found himself with our rescue looking for a new home! Looking to adopt Archie? Archie is a calm guy who walks great on the leash and takes treats gently. He knows sit, shake, lay down, and enjoys relaxing. Archie is microchipped, fixed, has all shots, house trained, crate, and leash trained! Archie's current foster has been working with him since May 2021 and says he 'Likes to be pet on head, behind ears, and belly rubs. Will cuddle up next to you on the couch or wherever you allow him. Very active for older dog. 30+ minute walk every day. He also has the option to run around the yard all day with access to the doggy door.' Archie is currently living with a small and large dog. He and his small dog buddy have gotten along just fine! He doesn't go out of his way to play, but they hang around the house just fine! Archie needs a home with no other large dogs to share his space. Archie is an active boy, and loves to go on walks! He is eager to please, and trainable! Archie is smart and wants to learn new commands for his person! He has been growly with quick movements or unfamiliar people, so a home with small children under 8 or busy lifestyle is not the best fit for him. It's been almost a year of waiting for Archie!
