Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oliver is an FIV+ kitten but don't let that stop you from reading about this incredible boy!
Oliver is a black and white tuxedo boy with tabby "ghost" stripes visible in his black fur. He is so friendly that the first thing he does when he sees you is purr and roll over so you can scratch his belly. He is the most affectionate and people-loving cat you could ever hope for. He not only loves belly rubs, he also likes to follow you around and cuddle with you wherever you go! He will keep you company when you sleep, watch TV, and work!
He also loves to play with toys and especially loves wand-type toys that he can chase and catch.
He loves being with his feline foster siblings and is very gentle and sweet with them.
Oliver is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a long, normal, and healthy life — cats with FIV commonly live just as long as FIV negative cats. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, non-infected cats are able to live with FIV+ cats in stable social environments. You can read more about FIV here:

Who are we?
Chesapeake Rescue Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization. Our cats are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and tested for FeLV, FIV, and Heartworm disease before being placed in carefully selected homes.
We are foster–based, meaning we do not have a facility. All of our cats are in foster homes in the Southern Maryland area. Our goal is to protect animals in the Chesapeake Bay area and beyond. We connect animals in need to safe homes and facilitate their access to quality veterinary care. Our rescue also provides trap-neuter-return, education, and outreach services to support the well-being of animals within the community at-large. This organization emphasizes transparency and integrity while providing educational resources to support the humane treatment of animals.
