Meet Gallagher, the enigmatic canine chameleon! This pint-sized powerhouse may look like your average Chihuahua, but don't let appearances fool you; he's got the heart of a German Shepherd. Gallagher joined the Chihuahua Rescue family in January 2023, and his journey has been nothing short of remarkable.
While we're not quite sure how he perfected his disguise, Gallagher's transformation into a "Chihuahua" has been nothing short of astonishing. Despite his tiny exterior, this courageous pup has a big personality. He's been working diligently on his rehabilitation, and although he may not be too fond of children, cats, or larger dogs just yet, he's making progress every day.
Trust might be a bit of a challenge for Gallagher, but he's slowly learning to open up to the world. With patience and love, we're helping him improve his social skills, one paw at a time. Rest assured, he's up to date on all vaccinations and has a handy microchip to keep track of his adventures.
Gallagher's favorite pastime? Playing and chasing toys with the enthusiasm of a much larger breed. He's also getting the hang of leash manners, although he's not quite ready for adoption just yet. With continued support and guidance, we're confident that Gallagher will someday find his forever home – and maybe even embrace his true identity as a Chihuahua-German Shepherd mix. Adoption applications are required; we do home checks. We request that if you are interested to adopt, please complete an application and return vis email or bring to adoption event. We hold monthly adoption events since all of our dogs are in foster homes. We don’t have a location or building.
