Where do we start with Roscoe?
This poor little boy was spotted multiple times wandering the streets of North-East Houston. Eventually, he was able to be caught and our rescue immediately offered to help.
As you can see from his pictures and video, Roscoe had long hair that was severely tangled and matted. He was also full of fleas, ticks and sticker burrs. Due to the condition of his coat, we had no other option but to shave him down and allow him to eventually grow a fresh, new and beautiful coat.
Roscoe is believed to be a wheaten terrier and poodle mix. He has the coloring, texture and longer hair of a wheaten terrier, but the undercoat has the texture of a poodle. Also - once he was shaved, we were able to see that the shape of his face is definitely that of a poodle. With this being said, Roscoe will need an owner who will be able to provide him with regular grooming and coat maintenance.
Roscoe is currently in a foster home with several toddlers, two dogs and three cats. As you can see from his video, he gets along famously with all of them. He is playful and curious, but really wants to receive lots of attention and love from his foster mom. Roscoe will do best in a home with other dogs as he enjoys playing and spending time with his foster siblings.
We believe Roscoe is around 2 years of age and currently weighs 20 lbs. He is kennel trained, house trained, neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on his vaccinations....Roscoe is a happy, healthy boy that is now ready for his forever family!
If you are familiar with wheaten terriers and poodles, Roscoe is a beautiful combination of both these breeds and will make an amazing member for a family. He is tender, sweet, funny and playful. Are you his happily ever after?
