My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Chirp, chirp...If you like a Maine Coon who chatters and chirps, MINNIE, is your girl! She is a lovable little lady with a sweet personality. She seeks out the foster to get petted and chirps the whole time. While not a fan of being held, she does love the strokes and sweet talk! MINNIE'S right ear is folded over, probably because of a hematoma from her previous life that was not treated. We think it gives her character! She is full of love and would like nothing more than a human to give her much attention and love. Her hair is silky soft and is easily maintained with a few brushings a few times a week. MINNIE is a front paw declaw so she is perfect for someone on blood thinners or with children (older, respective only) although she has never even swatted...she has such a laid back personality that it is just not in her nature to swat. Fortunately, MINNIE does not suffer from some of the potential side effects of declawing. She has great litter box habits and currently shows no signs of arthritis. MINNIE has shared foster space with three dogs, the largest being 110 lbs - no big deal to her! She cohabitates well with mature cats but does not care for kittens (they are much too active for laid back personality).

MIINIE and two other felines were left behind when her owner died. Someone with connections to that person took them in and then sought out rescues to help place them. It was obvious that MINNIE missed her human and went into mourning, even refusing to eat for awhile. With love and the help of the veterinary world she worked through that and now seems adjusted. Whoever adopts her should show her immediate and generous love and attention so she does not also mourn her foster home. Please consider this special lady if you are looking for a love bucket with whom you can carry on a conversation!
