My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each adopter must complete an application on our website at www.nbran.org. A volunteer will contact you and work with you to find the perfect fit for your family and the brittany. A homevisit is required, as this is the only way we can be sure the right dog is being placed with you. Once the right brittany has been found, we will help transport him we only ask the adopting family to drive the last leg if it is a long distance adoption.

More about this rescue

National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network (NBRAN), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a network of caring and dedicated volunteers who have a deep passion for dog rescue and specifically the homeless Brittany, affectionately called a "Britt."

Once called "the Brittany Spaniel," the AKC has officially changed their breed name to "the American Brittany." A Brittany retains a puppy-like quality in their personality and are gentle, clownish, active dogs. They are great family dogs.

The number of dogs available for adoption varies from month to month. .
