My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Drake, a heartwarming 13-week-old Beagle/Dachshund mix with soulful eyes and a gentle spirit. Rescued from unfortunate circumstances, Drake is now ready to find his forever home where he can blossom and share his love with a caring family. Despite being a bit shy around new people, he's a bundle of joy around other dogs and kids, making him a perfect companion for a household full of love and laughter.

Temperament:
Drake's shyness may take some time to overcome, but beneath it lies a loyal and loving personality just waiting to be discovered. He may need a patient and understanding family to help him build confidence and feel secure in his new environment. Once he's comfortable, Drake's affectionate nature will shine, and he'll become your most loyal and loving friend.

Interests and Activities:
Drake is an enthusiastic playmate and finds joy in every toy he encounters. Whether it's a squeaky ball, a stuffed animal, or an interactive puzzle, he'll eagerly engage with anything that catches his attention. Keeping him well-stocked with a variety of toys will provide endless entertainment for this playful pup.

His love for other dogs and kids is heartwarming. Drake thrives in the company of his four-legged and two-legged friends, making him an excellent fit for families with children or other pets. He'll happily engage in playtime with his furry and human siblings, fostering strong bonds and creating beautiful memories.

Drake's fascination with the dog pool is a delight to watch. On hot days, he'll enjoy splashing around and cooling off in the water, and it's sure to become a favorite pastime for him in his new home.

Ideal Home:
Drake is searching for a patient and loving family who will cherish him for his gentle and endearing qualities. A calm and nurturing environment will help him feel safe and gradually overcome his shyness. A home with other dogs or kids would be a plus, as it will provide him with the social interaction he adores.

Having a dog pool or access to a safe outdoor area for him to play and explore will enrich his daily routine and keep him happy and active.

Training and Socialization:
As a young and eager-to-learn pup, Drake will benefit from positive reinforcement training. Gentle guidance and rewards for good behavior will help him develop into a well-mannered companion. Continued socialization with new people and experiences will also boost his confidence and help him navigate the world with ease.
