Gideon is a mellow, affectionate, white with black spots kitten born October 2022. With trusted folks he watches for them at the window, ankle rubs, follows them around, rubs against faces, and gives kitty kisses. Gideon will let you place in in your lap and shows his enjoyment of brushing and petting by kneading you or the air while quietly purring.

He tolerates being picked up, is quiet until meal time, plays with water in a dish, and plays interactively with toys or by himself with toys. He often lays on his tummy with his legs straight out behind him. He is okay with calm kids, hasn’t met dogs and is shy and nervous of strangers. Gideon is passive with other cats and would do best with a cat pal. He uses a scratching post and has fine litter box habits. Siblings are available.

If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Easier to do today than 1 -2 years later when you finally realize the need.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx.
