My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr Kitty is a sweetheart. He has lived with children, dogs and other cats. I think he needs some time to get comfortable with other cats, but he is a good boy. He loves being petted and held. Mr Kitty is an easy cat, but he does need to be kept away from other cats’ dry food. He is good with my small dog.

Mr. Kitty has some problems,. He is diabetic, no longer in remission. He currently only eats a low carb canned cat food (Fancy Feast Classic Chicken Feast, currently, but there are some lower cost foods that would also work for him) which also helps with bladder stones that he has had in the past. Every 12 hours, Kitty is fed & gets 1.5 40U of ProSinc insulin. He gets a third can regularly because he gets hungry!.

Mr Kitty was surrendered to a shelter because his family was not able to give him insulin consistently or afford the cost of his food and insulin. They loved him, though, and said to tell potential adopters that he was a sweetheart. I concur!

All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $110 for cats and $150 for dogs.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $125 and $90 for cats, regardless of whether the pet is a pure breed or a mixed breed. All of our pets are Vet checked for health, spayed or neutered, wormed, up-to-date on all vaccinations and micro-chipped. Dogs are tested for heartworm, treated if necessary, and placed on preventative. Cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. All injured pets receive any treatment or surgery needed to restore them back to good health!

Because we are a foster home network, we make efforts to meet adopters at times and places convenient to all involved. We do ask potential adopters to first complete a pre-adoption form, for the purpose of ensuring your compatibility with a pet, as well as your eligibility to own a pet. After the pre-adoption form is reviewed and OK'd, we require adopters to complete an adoption contract. We do not discriminate against anyone for reasons of race, religion, politics, gender, or sexual orientation; but reserve the right to refuse adoptions based on the information we interpret from these forms, with regard to legalities, and the pet's needs or requirements. We try very hard to make every adoption, a happy and satisfactory one!

We have adoption events at local Petsmart stores every weekend. Events usually run from 10 - 3.
