Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LOVELY LAB / BERNESE MIX AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
After having been unloved and neglected, our beautiful girl Layla is ready to start life over. At just 2 years old, this 80-pound beauty has oodles of potential, and will make an awesome addition to the right family! After several days in foster care with some basic training, here’s what Layla’s foster mom has to say:
“She is doing amazing, what a GEM. We have reduced the “play nibbling” to almost nothing. The jumping has stopped also. She is not a barker, so easy in the backyard with our neighbours. We are starting to work with her on walking properly. She is eager to please, very submissive, so makes it easy to train. Very food driven, but understands boundaries when eating, and not food protective with her own food and toys. She is a big dog but not that active. After a few minutes of fetching balls, she needs a break. She is only 2 so has lots of potential. Just a lovely dog.”
Layla prefers the company of adults and older children, and a house with a yard in a quiet neighbourhood would suit her nicely. She would be fine as an only pet, but could possibly live with a calm, well-mannered mature dog; cats not recommended.
Please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca if you’re interested in offering Layla a loving home. We are active in the Greater Montreal and Eastern Ontario areas, and are also open to applicants from elsewhere willing to drive to the Montreal area.
