My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Penelope is at Cat & Craft Cafe ***

Brown tabby & white, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 6/1/22, #18467

Cats: good solo; others likely okay if given slow intro
Dogs: unknown
Children: older kids fine if respectful

Penelope was found with a litter of kittens by a concerned neighborhood resident who reached out to The Rescue House on their behalf. She was able to move into a foster home to finish raising her babies and now she is ready to find a loving forever home!

Penelope has a known route to her Happy Place: it’s human contact! Hold her, brush her, pet her, and that will make Penelope ever so content. This young girl is outgoing and friendly and she finds the world to be a fascinating place; Penelope likes to be where the action is, and she will follow you around just to make sure she’s not missing anything. She is an enthusiastic eater and is a member of the clean-plate club. Though she’s keenly interested in all you are doing and thoroughly enjoys attention, Penelope has an independent streak and isn’t clingy. She is a great companion.

We don’t know Penny’s thoughts on dogs. She can initially be a little unsure of other cats after an experience of being cornered by an aggressive one, but if given a slow and positive introduction we think she could comfortably cohabit. Penelope expects good manners when she is being handled, and younger children wouldn’t be the best fit; older kids who know how to be gentle and respectful should be fine.

Sweet Penelope is looking for the perfect home -- could it be yours?
