Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hammy came to us from an abusive home. He was strictly an outdoor dog and he was extremely malnourished. He has since been putting on weight and enjoying his indoor dog lifestyle! Because of his previous living situation, Hammy does have some behavioral issues relating to food. He is completely non aggressive, however he eats every meal like it's his last, will counter surf for food if left unattended and is just food crazy in general. He needs an adoptive family that will continue to work on this with him.
Hammy is a very energetic boy and because of this we are REQUIRING him to go to a family with a fenced backyard. He would not do well in an apartment setting. He would do best in a large family with another dog, however these things are not required. He is very social and loves every human and dog he meets! He has not been tested with cats. He is housebroken and crate trained. We highly recommend him being crated when left unattended, so he does not eat things he is not supposed to. He is neutered, HW- and up to date on all vaccines!
Does Hammy sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!
