Lexi is just waiting to be your best friend. Seems this gal's tail never stops wagging! Lexi is an approx. 5-year-old, 7-lb. tri-color chihuahua mix and is very friendly. She likes playing with her fur siblings, but doesn't overdo it and knows when to be calm too. She gets along great with all people, dogs and cats. She even likes playing with the kitties! We would love for her to have a playful fur sibling in her new home. Her favorite thing is to be in your lap. She walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, is house trained, and loves running and playing in the fenced yard. She also loves playing with toys. She hasn't been around kids while in our rescue but we think she would do fine with them as long as they were respectful. Lexi is heart worm positive at this time. Dogs contract heart worms through the bite of an infected mosquito. Dogs cannot pass the disease to other pets nor can they pass it to people. There is more than one way to treat heart worm positive dogs and Lexi is receiving the “slow kill” treatment method and will continue until she tests negative, but this doesn't restrict her in any way. If you live in the Central Florida (Orlando) area and think you have the perfect home for Lexi, please complete her app and tell us more about you.
