Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jerry is a peppy, happy-go-lucky tan lab mix neutered male, approximately 1 year old and currently weighing 25 lbs. He gets along well with male & female dogs, big and small. Always in a good mood and exuding a positive attitude, Jerry loves to play and run; he likewise loves to hang out inside with people, curling up at your feet, on a dog bed, or if allowed, on a sofa. Jerry is on the shy side when first meeting a new human; once he warms up to you, he’s eager to please. Jerry always seems to be smiling, loves getting kisses and cuddles, and loves giving kisses in return to people and any dogs who will let him! Bright but amenable, he responds well to commands and is very trainable. He's house trained, and can use a doggy door. He would do well in an environment with other dogs, or with various opportunities to play and exercise. He would be a perfect furbuddy for another dog, female or male around his same size. He’s going to grow into a great companion for older or younger dogs, a family with children, or even an individual looking for a longtime furry buddy to explore life together. Curiously playful yet sweet-tempered, Jerry is ready to work his way into your heart and home.
*All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
