Good boy Auggie here. Let me just start off by saying that I am one of a kind, Mr. Personality, and just overall a funny guy who will always find a way to make you laugh. I really love food, and honestly if you give me food you’ll win me over. I can be a bit of a shy guy at first, but like I said the way to my heart is through my stomach. Something else you should know about me is that I really love other dogs. So, if you have another dog at home I’d love to be their new brother! I also find being pet to be pretty cool, especially back scratches…I really love those. Some other things I enjoy are car rides, playing with toys, and being with my people. I also know a few commands and I’ve got some stellar leash manners. When you walk by my kennel you may notice that I’m a bit noisy, but please don’t let that discourage you, I would much rather meet you outside my kennel. Ready to meet me? I know you can’t resist my adorable forehead wrinkles and puppy dog eyes…

More about this shelter
The Animal Defense League was established in 1934 by a group of individuals, “for the prevention of cruelty to animals; to promote kind and humane treatment of animals; and to aid and assist the enforcement of laws enacted for the prevention of animal cruelty.”
In 1961, ADL moved to its present location in the easily accessible northeast part of San Antonio. Its campus encompasses more than 12 acres and includes a two-acre pet park. On the property is an Adoption Center with a small retail store, and a separate 5,000 square-foot Clinic which houses our veterinary hospital that provides onsite spay/neuter surgery, surgery for injured and ill animals, and ongoing medical care for all ADL resident animals.
