Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hope is being fostered in LA.
Hope is a sweet and happy girl. She does have some vision loss.
Hope is fit, healthy and a very loyal pup full of energy and love. She is ready to fill your days
with adventure and nights with cuddling. Hope is looking for a daytime exercise partner with
whom she can run, play with toys, engage in games of catch, tug of war and sometimes long
silly leaps just for fun. In the evening a snuggle buddy is in order so she can cuddle close with
her head on the lap of her human. Hope is very loyal and loving to her person.
This sweetheart is well behaved and very likeable. She does well on a leash and is really great
about going to her kennel when asked. Hope enjoys meeting new people and they, her. She is
so adored at the vets office that they treat her like the “Belle of the Ball” giving her all kinds of
special attention and loving.
Hope, with all her positive qualities is still a youngster and often doesn’t know her own strength,
so she can sometimes play rough. Slow introductions would be best. She plays well with most
dogs, but prefers unassertive canine friends and would do well in a home without small children
or cats.
(Transports within 18 hours travel time are available to approved adopter.)
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Interested in adopting a BDRA dog? Simply fill out our application.
All of our adult dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive. All puppies are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive.
We ask a $400 adoption fee. This does not begin to cover the vet work we do on our dogs, which is why we are always fundraising! For unaltered dogs (such as puppies too young to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption), we now require an additional $100 spay/neuter deposit that is refundable upon BDRA receiving proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.

Can I meet the dog before I submit an application?
All of our dogs are cared for in private foster homes. We cannot make arrangements for private meet and greets until an application is received and references have been checked. That being said, many of our dogs are at local public events where you can certainly go to meet them.
Will you transport the dog to me? What if I live in Canada?
Generally yes, as long as you do not live more than 18 hours from a dog’s foster home. If you are unsure, please email adoption@blinddogrescue.org.
