Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Montana is a darling 11-year-old Cairn Terrier mix who weighs about 18 pounds. She really is a remarkable dog. I recently got a call from her foster mom to tell me how fabulous and perfectly well behaved and loving she is, and she couldn't believe anyone would ever give her up. You would never know that Montana is 11 because she is full of energy and looks way younger than her years. She has more spunk than a lot of 5-year-olds.
She is the sweetest little girl who will melt your heart with her soft kisses, soulful eyes and perky little ears. She has a sparkling personality and is quite animated and connected to her person. She's very intuitive, intelligent and eager to please. You couldn't ask for a more perfect companion.
Montana was originally adopted from the Lancaster shelter when she was just a few weeks old weighing barely a pound. Four years later she ended up back at the shelter (thru no fault of her own) and was adopted yet again by someone else. Then, when they couldn't take care of her anymore, she ended up back at the shelter again for the 3rd time; however, this time we rescued her so she will never ever go back there again!
Truth is, there are never any guarantees about length of life with any dog (or human for that matter). Small dogs like Montana can live up to 20 years, so you still have the opportunity to give her the best years of her life!
Montana is potty-trained and is a super well-behaved little girl. She's not demanding nor a barker and gets along great with everyone she meets. Montana loves to snuggle on the couch and keep you company while you watch your favorite show. She is good on a leash and gets along with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Please consider giving this sweet little angel a permanent home where she will be cherished and loved forever.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Miss Montana, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form.
