Everyone meet Jose!

Jose is a 3 year old male German Shepherd Mix. Jose has been in foster care for a while and is doing wonderfully and is ready for his forever home. Although it takes a little bit of time for him to warm up to his person, once he does he loves giving kisses and getting all the pets!

Jose gets along well with other pups, but often likes to be the leader! Jose is a very good boy and has been started on basic commands such as sit, down, and heeling. He is pretty calm for his breed and enjoys relaxing and taking naps but also has a playful side to him. Jose listens very well, is trainable with good toy drive, and is always willing to work for food! He is also potty trained!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
