Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella is a stunning 10 month old mini Aussie puppy. She is a sweet girl who loves to play fetch. One of her favorite things is to destroy toys and chew bones/antlers.
Bella started life with an older couple who had the best intentions for her but didn’t expose her to other people or dogs. Bella has been through training and knows basic commands. That said, she hasn’t had anyone to have consistency in having her follow those commands. She needs someone to work with her on commands - her recall is about 10% existent. Bella loves to counter surf and get into mischief like any Aussie puppy.
She didn’t experience life outside her home so new experiences and people can be overwhelming. I have worked with her on exposing her to more people, places, dogs and loud noises. She needs someone who will continue that work with her and set her up for success as she unintentionally wasn’t setup for success.
Bella needs an experienced dog/Aussie owner as her antics could easily overwhelm someone who isn’t familiar with dogs. I would suggest older kids due to the nipping noted below. She can be a handful but for an Aussie puppy, she’s pretty good.
She was surrendered for nipping. She does show her teeth at times when she doesn’t like something but I am 100% sure this is because she doesn’t know how to communicate. I’ve seen her not knowing how to communicate with both people and dogs. Since she hadn’t been exposed to other dogs, she will nip and play hard with other dogs. She loves to test boundaries with dogs and needs structured play time and to learn how to communicate.
