Meet TUCKER - Your Clever and Playful Sidekick!
A smart and playful 2-year-old little guy who's ready to find a patient and dedicated forever home. This charming pup may need a bit of work on his manners, but his intelligence and willingness to learn make him a promising companion. At a young age, Tucker has a strong personality and believes he's the boss. He requires someone who isn't easily intimidated and can provide him with consistent guidance and training to help him become a well-mannered pup.
While Tucker may be a bit stubborn, he's already learned some basic commands like sit, paw, and lay. With continued training, he'll be eager to learn more and impress you with his intelligence. Tucker enjoys outdoor walks and the opportunity to get his exercise. However, he may need some extra courage when it comes to tolerating other dogs on walks. With gradual exposure and positive reinforcement, he can overcome his hesitations and become more confident around other dogs.
Although Tucker is crate-trained, he has a fascination with paper and putting things in his mouth. Taking items away from him can be a challenge, so a positive approach with trading and providing him space to drop his "contraband" will help him feel more comfortable and secure. Tucker would love another young dog his size and age to play with.
Building trust with Tucker is essential, and it starts with giving him space to feel safe and secure. While he may take some time to warm up, the bond you'll form with him will be rewarding and profound. Meeting him where he is and allowing him to set the pace will lead to a happy and loyal friendship.
This special little guy would love a big fenced yard to play in!
