Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amelia (Mia) is a very gentle, quiet and well behaved little lady. She is active, entertaining and curious but not a barker. Amelia loves to lay in the sun so a yard is mandatory for her. She would also like to sleep in bed with you at night. Once past the hurdle of her natural shyness with people who are new to her, Mia is friendly and extremely affectionate. She loves to be cuddled and would like to be a lapdog. Mia may be initially shy and skittish so she will need some patience. It took her about three months to really come out of her shell and become comfortable and confident in her foster home. As soon as she warms up to you though she wants to be your little shadow. Amelia would prefer a quiet household without much food traffic and no small children. It would be great if there is another calm dog in the household already since Mia loves to cuddle up to her doggy friends whenever possible.
While Mia is housebroken, she does still need attention paid to make sure she is let out of the house to relieve herself. She will use training pads in the house if necessary.
Mia is about 9 years old, she weighs 9 lbs., she is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her shots. Our vet assumes that she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix.
