Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ROSS ~~ Boxer Mix, Fawn and White, Neutered Male, 68 pounds, Birthdate: 12/27/2021
This boy has never met a stranger and loves everyone! Are you a dog lover looking for that special “ride or die” dog to love? Come meet Ross and see if he checks off all the boxes. Ross is looking for his forever person.... someone who "gets him" and can't live without him. Is that you? He may also do well in a home with other large, friendly and non-aggressive dogs.
FAVORITE #1 THING IN THE WORLD: Ross absolutely loses his mind when you play fetch with him. He loves to chase the ball and brings it back to anyone who will play with him!
FUN FACTS: Ross is intelligent, playful, and curious about his surroundings. He enjoys learning new things and would do best with an active couple, single person or family with older kids. He may not be the best candidate with small kids ~~ he may jump up on them in excitement. However, with a little practice and training, he could learn not to do this.
ENERGY LEVEL: Ross is an energetic, fun-loving, playful and goofy guy who would love a fenced backyard to run around in. Do you have some cool toys, like to go for hikes or go running? Even better! Ross is food/treat motivated and would love to be with you wherever you go! Ross would also be a great boy for movie marathons on the couch after playing some fetch.
OTHER PETS: Ross may also do well in a home with other large, friendly and non-aggressive dogs. We always suggest a meeting of other dogs prior to adoption to ensure a smooth transition to a new home. Ross WILL NOT do well in a home with cats or small dogs.
ADOPTION FEE: $130. His adoption fee includes one month of Simparica Trio (for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites).
HEALTH/MEDICAL: He's current on vet services, vaccines, is microchipped, neutered, and has a negative heartworm and fecal test.
COME MEET ROSS AT Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday & Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays. Visit at least two hours prior to closing. No appointment is needed.

Our goal is to find good homes for all of the sick and injured pets we have, and to adopt them out in the best health possible. Each pet is fully vetted and cared for by our amazing Veterinary Staff! Our adoption fee is $130, which includes a spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. We offer a two week trial period, during which time you may return the pet for a full refund if the placement does not work out. We will accept a pet back after two weeks, but no refund will be issued. If a pet is returned after a longer time period we may require a $130 relinquishment fee. We do not perform home visits or have any particular adoption requirements, such as fenced yard. We do, however, reserve the right to turn down potential adopters if we feel like it will not be in the best interest of the pet.

More about this rescue
Our Stray Program began in 1988, with one dog named Redman. He was rescued by a client who indicated that he had belonged to a homeless man. The man had since disappeared, and the red Chow was ill and now living on his own. We brought him to our Clinic and named him Redman. He tested heartworm positive, was treated for that condition and was also neutered. One of our Veterinarians fell in love and adopted him. Unfortunately, Redman did not live long due to heartworm disease, but enjoyed several great years with his new owner. It was because of Redman that our Stray Program for sick and injured animals came to fruition. We began a fund to support the Program and, since then, have found many sick and injured pets their forever homes! Thanks to Dr. Joe Gaston, we are able to continue our work to help sick and injured strays, and have the opportunity to give back to our pet community!
