My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Douglas showed up at someone's house and they brought him to the shelter. After a month, his tailed developed a severe case of kennel tail and we amputated it. His docked tail gives him a Doberman look, but we think he is more Lab. He is 6-7 years old, UTD with his shots, heartworm negative, neutered and chipped. Really sweet boy, likes to play, good on a leash and good with other dogs, but he does play rough and that could be intimidating to a smaller dog.

More about this shelter

Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter is a small, open door shelter. We strive to save every adoptable animal that is surrendered, orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected. All animals are spayed/neutered at time of adoption, vaccinated. All dogs are heartworm tested/treated at time of adoption.

All procedures administered to the shelter animals are funded solely on donations. We are in constant need of monetary donations to continue the vetting of these animals.
