My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Wiggles! I'm a sweet 5-year-old Shepherd mix with a playful spirit. I love exploring new places, sniffing out fun, and chasing my tail just for giggles. And though I love company, I'm also independent. I can entertain myself with a chew toy for hours! But don't let my independence fool you, I cherish companionship. Play fetch with me, and my heart is yours! I would do best with older kids if you have any, I can get a bit too excited for young ones. If you have any other dogs at home, I'd love to meet them first before going home! Come visit me at the Humane Society today if you're looking for a sweet and loving gal!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
