Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Virginia
Nicknames: Ginny
Breed: Boxer
Age: ~3.5 years
Weight: 55 lbs.
Before OMD: Breeder release to the rescue.
Energy Level: Medium-High. She’s a young Boxer…’nuff said.
Descriptors: Wiggly. Outgoing. Social. Active. A tadddd bit clingy tbh.
Velcro level: High. She misses you when she blinks.
What we love most: She’s a sweetheart through and through. Always willing to give a smooch. Especially cuddly at night and really loves to put her head right smack-dab on top of her foster dad’s neck.
What she loves most: Food. Zooming. Rolly Pollies in the yard. Toys (the squeakier the better). Co-piloting. Walks. Playing with other dogs.
What she knows: Well, not much and she’s incredibly stubborn but she is all about food. Right now, she’s working on simply mastering her name, come, and a solid sit.
Working on: Independence and alone time. Keeping 4 on the floor. Heeling and less pulling when walking. Housebreaking.
Kids: She loves kids, but smaller kids may not love her back as she will knock them over. She is still learning to reign in her exuberance when excited.
Dogs: Has done well with dogs she’s met and loves to play, but she needs to eat separately and have high-value toys separately as well.
Cats: Unknown at this time
Crate-training: In progress! Currently working up to being alone a few hours in the crate.
House-breaking: Not quite. She has good days and some not as good days. She will do best with a solid routine and going out frequently while she learns.
Virginia is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
