My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated August 15, 2023 - We are still available for adoption! :-) You may have seen this story on the local Channel 8 News (Las Vegas) on Thursday, July 21st, about the two Great Danes that were cruelly left outside in the heat to die, in a Las Vegas neighborhood. The two Great Danes were also barely fed, and had become emaciated.

Well, these are the two Great Danes from that news story. They have been rescued, are safe, and now need a forever home. They are both males, and have been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

We are looking for an adopter who is willing to open their heart and home to both of them, together, because they are a bonded pair. They love each other very much.

We have named these two beauties Dolce and Gabbana. (Dolce is the black Great Dane. Gabbana is the white Great Dane.)

Gabbana, the white Great Dane is a bit "shut down" from trauma at the moment, but he is slowly starting to open up. In spite of that, he is still very gentle and sweet. We think his true personality will come out in the the next few weeks as he continues to gain trust and confidence in his foster home.

The black Great Dane, Dolce, is a lot more outgoing, happy, and energetic. He gives kisses, and wants to be friends with everyone he comes across.

Both dogs are currently in the same foster home. They are doing really well! They have been crate trained and "potty" trained. They also walk pretty well - not perfect - but definitely manageable on the leash (I'm a 5'4" female and I can walk them). They are friendly with other dogs, and friendly with everyone they meet.

As wonderful and sweet as these dogs are, we don't adopt any of our dogs into homes with cats.
There will be a small adoption fee of $100 per dog.

All interested parties will be asked to complete a short adoption application. We also will ask to do a one-time only home and yard check.

Please contact Lacey@HeroesK9Rescue.org if you are interested in them.

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued animal.
