Gertie! DOB: 7/2019 Weight: 50lbs
Sweet Gertie has changed a lot from the scared emaciated dog we got awhile ago. She’s now healthy and very lively! Gertie is house and crate trained (although she prefers to sleep next to her humans than in a crate). Her foster says she’s very smart and quick to catch on to things. She knows sit, lay down, and shake. LOVES treats and playing with her foster siblings. Gertie is a pointer/lab mix and does have some of the typical pointer qualities. Will point and stare at small wildlife, sometimes taking off after them. She also does this with cats. Should live with a confident dog as she get carried away and needs to be told off sometimes
Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to the shelter 6/2023.
