Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cooper is a big squish boy that loves to press himself into your arms for hugs! He is very smart and received extensive training thanks to the organization Magic City K9 that accepted Cooper into their unique training program. Cooper was living with his trainer at Everglades Correctional Facility in Miami where Magic City K9 offers its program to give inmates and dogs a second chance to thrive. Cooper has learned many commands (more than 40!). He was friends with most dogs in the training class, but needs a proper introduction to make dog friends. Cooper is a big softie once he knows you, but can be nervous around strangers, so he needs time to trust new people or a low traffic home is best. Cooper is about 3 -years-old and 65lbs of American Bulldog snuggles. Now that his training is complete, Cooper is now back at Abandoned Pet Rescue so let's find him a loving home soon!! To adopt Cooper, complete an adoption application at AbandonedPetRescue.orgTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
