My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little and adorable nugget is Bennett (named after the late Tony Bennett), but we lovingly call him Benny! We were notified about Benny who's time was up at the Palmdale Shelter and was set to be euthanized within 24 hours. We got a plan into place and sprung him out immediately! Benny was found as a stray and brought in, but usually these "strays" brought in are really owner surrenders that don't want to pay the surrendering fee. Benny is an 8 year old, 10lb Chihuahua with a touch of Schipperke who is best described as feisty and mouthy little guy...lol! He loves to nibble on your hands, but also can get a little rough with taking treats. He also will mouth at your hand if you pick him up too quickly. He most likely was not handled and touched very much, but the good news is that once he feel comfortable and safe with you...he's ALL about the love! He is so affectionate and loving! Benny loves to cuddle and snuggle, but he gets a little territorial when someone else tries to pet him while he is on your lap. Benny just needs structure and guidance from a dog savvy owner, which is something he most likely never got. He is AMAZING with other dogs and loves to play! He is a very energetic little guy! We do know he is not good with cats and should be in an adult only home. A home with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal along with owners who are home most of the day. We want to see Benny in a home with another playful and friendly dog. Benny is still working on his potty training skills and because he was just recently neutered, he does mark occassionaly. Owners that are dog savvy and will be patient with working him and his little quirks is exactly what we are looking for. We need a dedicated, patient, and loving owner for our sweet little boy!

Benny is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
