Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gable! He is the absolute sweetest little 16 months old toy aussie. There is nothing Gable loves more than pleasing others, and getting tons of affection in return. Oh, and he gives the best hugs. He enjoys morning strolls, but really loves chasing dragon flies.
Little Gable is house trained, and he will go in the crate to sleep if the door is left open however, he doesn't like being left in the crate and prefers to be out and about. His foster mom says he has been fine left alone and hasn't damage anything and just plays with various toys. He has gotten pretty good at going to the door to let you know he needs to go outside. He is at times a little skittish.
Gable is very good around other dogs. He has been exposed to cats and was completely unphased. If another dog was in the home, he would do best with a more submissive dog. He will need a home with his own fenced in yard as dog parks can sometimes have dogs that are dominant and he wouldn't do well in that scenario.
He does have a little scar across his chest, but he does not let that bother him at all.
Gable would do best in a home with someone who works from home or is home frequently. While he does good when left home alone, being left alone frequently or for long periods of time is not ideal for Gable. Gable hasn't directly been around kids but based on his behavior and personality, we feel that a home with kids at least 7 years old and older should be fine.
Little Gable is about 18 lbs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots/vaccines and on prevention.
A meet and greet with a potential adopter is required. If Gable sounds perfect for you, here is the app:
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts
