My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Missandei! I am an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. No mean bone in this calico body. I was found outside on my own as a kitten. At first, I was not sure about human touch but soon realized how much I love pets (I also have the softest fur). I can still be a little timid at times, even with my foster parents but when I realize it’s them I come out and beg for all the pets I can get! I would do best in a quiet home with no kids.

Even though I do get along with most of the other cats in my foster house, a couple of them like to chase me and it makes me very anxious and scared. Because I am pretty anxious I will do best in a home by myself or with one other cat who is very gentle/calm and welcoming.

Laps are something I have really learned to enjoy once I trusted the humans in my house but I am on my own schedule when I get on a lap. I enjoy sleeping near them at night on the bed, too. Picking me up and holding me for a little cuddle is fine (and I may even start to purr a little) but after a bit I am ready to get down and go do my own thing again. My favorite toys are anything with a string and the laser pointer.

I love my food and snacks! I love to eat so much that I can't free feed and need to be fed a little bit of my portioned food ~3 times throughout the day. I am extra cute when I give my foster mom a little meow if she walks by my bowl and I am ready for her to give me more. Treat time is my favorite. Crunchy treats and Churus are the best.

Once I have learned to trust you (and it may take me a little time - so please be patient) you will be rewarded with lots of head bumps, lap time and opportunities to love on me! I like to flop over in front of them to let them know I am ready for some love. Can’t wait to meet that purrfect, gentle human(s) to spend my forever with!
