Meet Flame! Flame is a 1-2 year male border collie. He came to us very shy and scared but super duper sweet. Flame is your typical border collie who loves toys, his people and other dogs.

Flame is such a great dog! He really wants to do good but needs to be shown how to please his people. He is very affectionate, sweet and bond’s deeply towards his people and pack. He would do best with another dog as they seem to give him some comfort and improve his confidence. Flame’s foster says someone is going to luck out with him but he is showing some separation anxiety. His crate training is improving but he really wants to be with his person or people. Flame would also do best with someone savvy with herding dogs, especially border collies!

Flame needs:
- a gentle hand and someone patient and experienced
-someone committed and willing to work on his separation anxiety
-another nice dog to show Flame the ropes! Once he gets to know the pack he becomes very sticky and will follow them around.
-a fenced yard
-no apartments
-ideally is retired or home often
Ideally Flame will go to someone with border collie experience. Flame is amazing but will need some work. If Flame sounds like a potential match, submit and app and the foster will brief you on “All Things Flame”.

There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
